Manchester City Set £25m Asking Price for Kalvin Phillips

Manchester City has set a £25 million asking price for midfielder Kalvin Phillips ahead of the summer transfer window. Phillips, who joined City from Leeds United for £45 million in 2022, has struggled to find his footing at the Etihad Stadium.

After making just six starts in 31 appearances for City, Phillips was loaned out to West Ham United in January. During his stint at West Ham, he started three of eight Premier League matches but received a low rating of 5.89/10 from WhoScored, making him the lowest-rated player in the Hammers squad.

Given Pep Guardiola’s earlier comments about struggling to see Phillips fitting into his ideal City team, it seems unlikely that the midfielder will secure regular playing time moving forward. Consequently, City is willing to sell Phillips for a reduced fee to offload him this summer.

If no suitable transfer offers materialize, City might consider loaning Phillips out again, with Everton reportedly interested in a loan move. This could provide the former Leeds star an opportunity to revive his career with more regular playing time.
