With Barcelona on the hunt for a new left-sided winger in the summer transfer window, Liverpool star Luis Diaz has emerged as a prime target. The Colombian international is reportedly at the top of the Blaugrana’s wish list, despite a hefty price tag of around €75 million.
Barcelona’s director Deco is known to be a great admirer of Diaz and is eager to secure his signing if the club’s finances permit. However, Diaz recently addressed the transfer speculations, stating that he is content at Liverpool and not considering a move at the moment.

“I’m very happy at Liverpool. It’s a great team and club, and I’ve always wanted to play here, so I’m very happy and calm,” Diaz told SPORT following Colombia’s friendly match against the USA. “I’m not thinking about anything else. My focus is on the national team right now,” he added.
In addition to Barcelona, Ligue 1 champions PSG are also interested in Luis Diaz, potentially eyeing him as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe. The involvement of the Parisian giants, coupled with Diaz’s contract at Liverpool running until 2027, complicates matters for Barça.
Given Diaz’s recent comments about his happiness at Liverpool, a summer exit appears unlikely. Even if he were to consider leaving, Barcelona would likely need to make a significant sale to afford the Liverpool forward.
