Mason Greenwood made a brief return to Manchester United’s training complex on Monday for the first time in two-and-a-half years to discuss his probable departure from the club. Greenwood, who last visited Carrington in January 2022, did not participate in the United first team’s initial pre-season training session as the club is currently entertaining bids from Lazio and Marseille for the forward.
Transfer Discussions
United are reportedly in advanced talks with Marseille and held constructive discussions with Greenwood about his future. Sources indicate that Greenwood, 22, spent a short amount of time at Carrington meeting with football leadership figures to discuss the potential transfer. Greenwood’s contract with Manchester United is set to expire next year.
