Dani Olmo to Join FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with RB Leipzig for the transfer of Spanish attacker Dani Olmo, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. The transfer fee is around $60 million, plus add-ons.

Dani Olmo, fresh off winning the UEFA Euro 2024 with Spain, has had an impressive career trajectory. He scored 29 goals in 145 appearances for RB Leipzig over four seasons. Olmo began his youth career at Espanyol and FC Barcelona before moving to Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia, where he made his professional debut in 2015. His performances in Croatia earned him a move to RB Leipzig in January 2020.

Olmo is set to sign a six-year contract with Barcelona, valid until the summer of 2030. The Spanish star had a €60 million release clause, which was valid until the end of July. Despite this, Olmo and Leipzig agreed that he could leave if a suitable offer came in this summer.
