Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, is reportedly targeting Chelsea’s Romeo Lavia and Carney Chukwuemeka for a potential summer transfer.
The former Chelsea midfielder had considered signing Chukwuemeka on loan during the summer, while Lavia was also on his radar before Chelsea and Liverpool engaged in a heated bidding war.
Deco’s interest in the duo for Barca remains, despite Lavia’s recent move to Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have received a boost with Cole Palmer committing his long-term future to the club. The England international, who signed a nine-year deal, expressed his dedication to Chelsea.
Speaking to The Telegraph, the England international said, “Absolutely”. Palmer told The Telegraph, “Chelsea feels like home to me, and I’m excited about what we can achieve together. I’m fully committed to the club and its future.”
Palmer’s declaration quashes speculation about his departure, but Lavia and Chukwuemeka remain on Barcelona’s radar.
