Aston Villa Rejects Arsenal’s Jhon Duran Bid

Aston Villa have reportedly valued striker Jhon Duran at a staggering £70.5m (€85m) amid intense transfer speculation linking the Colombian international to Arsenal and Barcelona.

According to Colombian publication Antena 2, Villa rejected a £45.6m (€55m) offer from Arsenal for the 20-year-old, who has become a pivotal player for Unai Emery’s side. Duran’s impressive goalscoring form, with eight goals in 16 matches this season, has justified Villa’s decision to hold out for a higher fee.

The forward’s stock continues to rise, with Villa securing his long-term future by signing him to a new deal until 2030 last month. Arsenal and Barcelona, who contacted Villa in October to inquire about Duran’s availability, are likely to face stiff resistance in their pursuit of the talented striker.

Duran was previously sought after by Chelsea in the summer transfer window, but opted to remain at Villa Park. His decision has proven shrewd, given his increased value and importance to Villa’s success this season.

As transfer speculation intensifies, Duran’s focus remains on Villa’s crucial Premier League clash with Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday night.
