Van Nistelrooy's Final Demand to United Players Revealed

Van Nistelrooy’s Final United Demand Revealed

Ruud van Nistelrooy has left Manchester United with a heartfelt message, urging players to unite behind new head coach Ruben Amorim, following his departure from Old Trafford.

The Dutch legend, who took over as interim manager after Erik ten Hag’s dismissal, impressed during his four-game stint, securing three wins and one draw. However, with Amorim’s arrival, Van Nistelrooy anticipated his exit and has now relinquished his role.

According to The Sun, Van Nistelrooy addressed the squad, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to manage the club and emphasising the importance of supporting Amorim in restoring United’s legacy.

A source revealed to The Sun: “Ruud made clear to the bosses he wanted to stay at United because he loves the club. But he was also pragmatic and expected that Amorim would want total control of things, including his backroom staff.”

Van Nistelrooy’s parting words to the players were poignant: “He told them he was very happy to have come back and to have had the chance to manage the club for four games. It has helped his managerial career, increased his already strong ties with United, and he hasn’t given up on the idea that he might be back one day. He made all that clear to the players and demanded that they give their all to the new manager.”

As Amorim prepares for his debut match against Ipswich Town on November 24, all eyes are on the Portuguese coach to revive United’s fortunes.
