Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos has sparked speculation of a potential return to the Santiago Bernabéu, albeit not as a player.
The 34-year-old German midfielder, who retired from football earlier this year, revealed his willingness to rejoin Los Blancos in a different role.
“The importance of Real Madrid will always be the same for me,” Kroos stated on his Einfach mal luppen podcast. “It was a long, great, successful, and affectionate stage. That will always remain; I will always feel close to Real Madrid.”
Kroos, who won numerous trophies with Madrid, including multiple Champions League titles, emphasized his enduring connection to the club. “I will always defend Real Madrid; I will always be on their side. The relationship is simply too close.”
Although Kroos stressed he’s currently focused on other projects, he didn’t rule out a future role at Real Madrid. “I wouldn’t say never to doing something with Real or having something to do with the club again. We’ll see in what role, perhaps in a few years.”
Kroos’s illustrious career included stints at Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, as well as the 2014 World Cup triumph with Germany.
Real Madrid fans will welcome Kroos’s potential return, given his legendary status at the club.
For now, Kroos remains committed to his current endeavors, but the door for a future reunion with Los Blancos remains open.
