Chelsea winger Jadon Sancho has resumed training with the Blues after recovering from illness, according to reports.
Sancho, who joined Chelsea on loan from Manchester United in the summer, missed the 1-1 draw against Arsenal due to illness. His return to training comes as a boost to manager Maurizio Maresca, who is preparing his squad for the Premier League match against Leicester City on 23 November.
Sancho started his Chelsea career impressively, scoring in each of his first three outings. However, his form has dipped, and he has not featured since 20 October due to illness and ineligibility to play against parent club Manchester United.
Chelsea currently sit third in the Premier League standings, four points behind second-place Manchester City and level with fourth-place Arsenal. Maresca’s squad has made a strong start to the 2024-25 season despite injury concerns, including star player Cole Palmer’s withdrawal from England duty.
Maresca will now focus on the Leicester City clash at King Power Stadium, his first return to the Foxes’ home ground since leaving in the summer.
