Sane Addresses Man United and Arsenal Links

Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane has addressed speculation surrounding his future, acknowledging his fondness for the Premier League while reaffirming his commitment to the Bundesliga giants.

Sane, 28, joined Manchester City from Schalke in 2016 and went on to win three Premier League titles under Pep Guardiola before returning to Germany with Bayern Munich in 2020. His current contract expires in June 2025.

Recent reports have linked Sane with Premier League clubs Arsenal, Manchester United, and Newcastle, sparking uncertainty about his future at Allianz Arena. However, the German international has moved to quell the rumours.

In an interview with SportBild, Sane expressed his admiration for the Premier League but emphasized his focus on succeeding with Bayern. “I have a fondness for the league; I still watch certain games on TV. But the appeal for me lies in the club where I can show my best performance, develop and win titles. I have that at FC Bayern. This is where I have my biggest challenge and goals.”

Sane’s priorities appear to lie with Bayern, where he will face Augsburg in a league clash on Friday night, following his appearance for Germany in their Nations League match against Hungary.

While Sane’s comments may dampen hopes of an imminent return to English football, his enduring affection for the Premier League will undoubtedly keep speculation alive as his contract negotiations with Bayern continue.
