Neymar has sparked speculation about a potential transfer to Inter Miami after expressing his desire to join former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in the United States.
The Brazilian superstar, currently plying his trade in the Saudi Pro League for Al-Hilal, reunited with Messi and Suarez as part of a promotional campaign for eFootball. In a video showcasing their virtual gaming skills, Neymar told his former teammates: “I wish I were there too.”
The comment has fuelled rumours that Neymar may be considering a move to Inter Miami, where Messi and Suarez currently play. With his lucrative contract with Al-Hilal reportedly under threat due to an injury-ravaged spell in the Middle East, Neymar may be open to a new challenge.
Inter Miami would need to free up space in their squad and salary cap to accommodate Neymar, but with the 2025 season still on the horizon, the club has time to plan for a potential move. The team’s MLS Cup ambitions may have come to an end for 2024 after a shock play-off defeat to Atlanta United, but the prospect of signing Neymar to join Messi could provide a significant boost for the upcoming season.
