Man United to Replace Rashford with Osimhen

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen in the January transfer window, as manager Ruben Amorim seeks to bolster his attacking options. The Red Devils have been linked with several high-profile forwards, but Osimhen’s impressive form on loan at Galatasaray has caught their attention.

The 25-year-old has scored nine goals and provided three assists in just 11 Süper Lig appearances, accounting for 32% of his team’s goals. Osimhen’s contract with Napoli allows him to be recalled and sold in the coming weeks, sparking speculation about a potential move to the Premier League.

Manchester United have already made contact with Osimhen’s representative, and it is believed that personal terms would not be a major obstacle. However, convincing Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis to sell may prove more challenging, with the Italian club reportedly seeking a fee of up to €75 million.

Despite their interest in Osimhen, Manchester United are cautious about splashing out large sums of money, having adopted a more frugal approach to transfers under owner Jim Ratcliffe. The club’s transfer budget is no longer limitless, and any significant signings would need to be offset by departures.

Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United remains uncertain, and a potential exit could pave the way for Osimhen’s arrival. With the January transfer window fast approaching, Manchester United’s pursuit of Osimhen is likely to be a major storyline in the coming weeks.
