Chelsea Warned of Palmer’s Move to Real Madrid

Chelsea have been alerted to the potential threat of losing talisman Cole Palmer, with former Blues defender William Gallas suggesting that Real Madrid and Barcelona could make a lucrative move for the 22-year-old sensation. Palmer’s scintillating form has caught the attention of European elites, with the forward contracted to Chelsea until 2033.

Palmer’s remarkable rise to prominence has seen him accumulate an impressive 50 combined goals and assists since the start of the 2023-24 season, surpassing any other Premier League player during this period. His recent brace against Tottenham inspired Chelsea to a comeback win, further solidifying his status as a key player.

Gallas, speaking to Prime Casino, expressed concerns that either Real Madrid or Barcelona could tempt Palmer away from Stamford Bridge with an offer he cannot refuse. “At the moment, I think only Real Madrid and Barcelona could tempt Cole Palmer away from Chelsea,” Gallas said. “That could be three seasons in the future, but I think Chelsea fans should hope that neither of those clubs come in for him any time soon.”

Chelsea, however, hold a significant advantage in any future negotiations, with Palmer’s extended contract providing the club with leverage in demanding a substantial transfer fee. The Blues will look to retain Palmer’s services, particularly with him set to feature in Sunday’s London derby against Brentford.
