Chelsea have been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, but a January transfer is deemed unlikely as the Blues prioritize long-term striking options for 2025.
According to reports from Foot Mercato, Chelsea have shown interest in Kolo Muani, who has struggled to establish himself at PSG since joining from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023. The 25-year-old has made just 14 appearances across all competitions this season, fuelling speculation about his future.
While PSG are reportedly open to sanctioning a loan move for the forward with an option to purchase, Chelsea are unlikely to make a move for Kolo Muani in January. Instead, the club is focusing on long-term striking options for 2025, with current striker Nicolas Jackson impressing this season.
Chelsea’s attacking output has been impressive, with the team scoring the third-most goals (38) in the Premier League, trailing only Liverpool (45) and Tottenham Hotspur (41). As the year draws to a close, Chelsea will face Ipswich Town in their final match of 2024 on Monday, looking to solidify their position in the league standings heading into the new year.
