Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood has said goodbye to Getafe fans, thanking them for their support during his loan spell. The 22-year-old forward leaves after a season in La Liga, where he played 46 games and scored 10 goals.
Greenwood shared his gratitude on social media, posting photos from his time at Getafe. He thanked the club and fans, saying, “Thank you for making me feel welcome and one of your own. I enjoyed every second, alongside my teammates and club.”
His departure from Manchester United came after a suspension following allegations of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behavior, and assault, as reported by the Mirror. Despite the circumstances, Greenwood expressed that it was a pleasure to play for Getafe and wished them the best.
