Kieran Trippier Transfer Update: Newcastle defender set to leave St James’ Park after agreeing terms with Turkish side Eyupspor

There are rumors that Kieran Trippier is close to signing a contract to play in the Turkish Super Liga.
The Newcastle full-back, who announced his retirement from the national team last week, appears to have reached an agreement with Eyupspor.

According to Turkish reports, Kieran Trippier, the right-back for Newcastle United, has agreed to personal terms with Super Lig club Eyupspor. This suggests that Tripper may still make a surprise move out of the Magpies, Daily Mail posted.

According to Turkish journalist Resat Can Ozbudak, the Toon right-back had an agreement with Eyupspor, based in Istanbul. The 33-year-old leaving St James’ Park would be a surprise, but it also shows how Newcastle can improve their financial situation even though their own transfer window has closed.

Even though the English transfer window is closed, Kieran Trippier seems to have found a new team after reaching an agreement with Eyupspor in Turkey. Ivan Toney’s move from Brentford to Al Ahli is expected to benefit Newcastle and Peterborough United, while Chris Smalling, a former defender for Manchester United and England, is close to leaving Roma.

The Turkish transfer window is open for almost two weeks, just like it is for many other European clubs, so any outgoing deal for the 33-year-old is still possible, the post added.

The report only states that Trippier is currently negotiating his current contract with Newcastle; it makes no mention of whether any move would be a loan or a permanent sale.

Journalist Ozbudak posted the following on X: “Kieran Trippier has reached an agreement with Eyupspor.” The athlete is attempting to collect his yearly salary from Newcastle. Eyupspor is anticipating these discussions.

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle team, who have won seven points from their opening three games, will play their next Premier League game against Wolverhampton on Sunday.
