Barcelona are reportedly eyeing a new left-back for next season, with Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies and Wolves loanee Hugo Bueno among their top targets.
According to Sport, the Catalan giants aim to sign a competitor for first-choice left-back Alejandro Balde, who has been in impressive form this season. Davies, 24, is also coveted by Real Madrid, but Barcelona have made contact with his agent in an attempt to hijack the deal.
Davies’ contract with Bayern expires in 2025, and he is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer. However, Barcelona’s interest could prompt a rethink.
Additionally, Benfica’s Alvaro Carreras is another option under consideration. Gerard Martin currently serves as backup to Balde but has yet to dislodge the 21-year-old from Hansi Flick’s starting lineup.
Barcelona return to La Liga action on November 23 against Celta Vigo, following the international break.
