Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has offered words of wisdom to new manager Ruben Amorim, advising him to make key signings and implement crucial changes at Old Trafford.
Saha recommends acquiring Real Madrid’s Arda Guler and Galatasaray loanee Victor Osimhen. Guler, struggling for game time at Real Madrid, would thrive at United as a playmaker, providing opportunities for Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund, according to Saha.
“Manchester United have lots to offer Arda Guler, including more playing time,” Saha stated. “United need that type of playmaker who plays with freedom, and it’s very difficult for young players to get that at Real Madrid, especially in midfield.”
Regarding Osimhen, Saha prefers him over Viktor Gyokeres, citing his impressive goal-scoring record at Napoli and Galatasaray. “He’s a big game player, loves the game, and reminds me of Erling Haaland,” Saha added.
Saha also emphasized the importance of Amorim establishing consistency, confidence, and freedom among United’s players. “He needs to bring consistency to Manchester United, give his players confidence in themselves, and freedom to perform,” Saha explained.
Amorim’s ability to recreate the success he had with Viktor Gyokeres at Sporting, boosting players’ self-belief, will be crucial. “The current players at Man Utd sometimes let their ego get in the way of their performances, and they need to reconnect with the fans,” Saha noted.
Amorim will officially begin his United tenure against Ipswich Town on November 24.
