Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford’s departure from Old Trafford appears imminent, with three Saudi Pro League clubs – Al-Ahli, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Qadsiah – expressing concrete interest in signing the England international. According to reports, United’s co-owners, the INEOS group, are prepared to let Rashford leave in January, paving the way for a potential move to the Middle East.
Rashford’s decision to seek a new challenge was revealed in a bombshell interview earlier this week, sparking widespread speculation about his future. With his Manchester United career seemingly drawing to a close, the 27-year-old is attracting attention from several Saudi Pro League clubs.
Al-Ahli are reportedly favourites to land Rashford, although they would need to offload or de-register one of their current overseas stars to accommodate the striker. Interestingly, the Saudi club are rumoured to be planning to sell Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino, who they signed from Liverpool in the summer of 2023. Firmino has attracted interest from Fenerbahce and Saudi side Al-Tauwoun, potentially clearing the way for Rashford’s arrival.
As the January transfer window approaches, Manchester United are bracing themselves for Rashford’s departure. The club will be back in action on Sunday, hosting Bournemouth in a Premier League tie at Old Trafford. With Rashford’s future hanging in the balance, United fans will be watching with bated breath to see how the situation unfolds.
