Nkunku, the out-of-favor Chelsea striker, might be offered an escape route from his predicaments with Bayern Munich reportedly keen on signing him in the January Transfer window.
The Bavarian giants are negotiating with Chelsea for the forward and have offered Mathys Tel in a swap deal, after agreeing terms with the player on a long-term contract. It is reported that both Bayern Munich and Nkunku are not interested in a loan deal, as both parties only fancy a permanent deal at this stage.
Nkunku has had an injury-plagued time in England which limited him to making only 14 appearances for the English club in his first season in 2023. He has managed to stay fit this season but has been restricted to playing in the Conference League and other cup competitions.
Bayern Munich know Nkunku well from his time at Leipzig where he plied his trade for four seasons before signing for Chelsea, scoring 70 goals and winning two DFB Pokals.
