Barca Demand Answers For Disallowed Goal

Barcelona have sought explanations from the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) regarding Robert Lewandowski’s contentious disallowed goal against Real Sociedad.

The Catalan giants suffered a 1-0 La Liga defeat on Sunday, but controversy surrounded the VAR decision to rule out Lewandowski’s 13th-minute strike for offside.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta expressed dismay, saying “It can’t be,” while manager Hansi Flick confronted referee Cuadra Fernandez, insisting he made the “wrong decision.”

According to Relevo, Barcelona will formally request clarification on the incident, seeking solutions to prevent similar errors in the future.

The disputed goal would have put Barcelona ahead, potentially altering the outcome. Instead, they missed the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of La Liga to nine points.

Lewandowski’s disallowed goal has sparked debate, with replays failing to conclusively show the Polish striker offside. Barcelona’s frustration is palpable, and they will hope for a swift response from the RFEF.

The Blaugrana must now wait until November 23 to return to La Liga action, traveling to Celta Vigo.
