Manchester City striker Erling Haaland sparked speculation about becoming a father after celebrating his record-breaking brace for Norway with a baby-themed gesture.
Haaland’s double in Norway’s 3-0 Nations League win over Slovenia cemented his status as his country’s all-time leading scorer. The 24-year-old then took to social media, posting an Instagram photo sucking his thumb with a football under his jersey, accompanied by the cryptic message: “👶🏼🔜.”
The image and caption have fuelled rumours that Haaland is expecting his first child.
Haaland is on course to break all kinds of records if he continues his incredible scoring rate. Haaland’s remarkable scoring rate continues to break records. He has scored 34 goals in 36 games for Norway and 256 in 308 club appearances.
Next, Haaland will face Austria in Nations League action on Sunday before returning to Manchester City for their Premier League clash with Wolves on October 20.
