Man United’s Chances of Appointing Zidane Gets Boost

Manchester United’s search for a new manager may have received a significant boost, courtesy of Zinedine Zidane’s frustrated ambitions to succeed Didier Deschamps as France national team manager.

According to French media outlet RMC, Deschamps has no intention of stepping down in the near future, potentially scuppering Zidane’s plans.

The Daily Express reports that Manchester United, who have considered Zidane in the past, may now have a better chance of securing his services. The Red Devils have endured a dismal start to the season, with only two wins from seven Premier League games.

Zidane, a former Real Madrid midfielder, has been linked to the United hot seat as a potential replacement for under-pressure manager Erik ten Hag.

However, United face competition for Zidane’s signature, with the French Football Federation (FFF) reportedly considering him as a possible successor to Deschamps.

Deschamps’ reluctance to step down may force Zidane to reconsider his options, potentially paving the way for a move to Old Trafford.
