Marcus Rashford Faces Speeding Charges After Recent Crash

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has been caught speeding just months after a crash outside the club’s training ground. The 26-year-old striker was clocked exceeding 70mph on the M60 motorway in his Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadow, according to The Sun. Rashford admitted to the offence and is set to be sentenced at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on September 27.
The incident, which occurred in December, comes on the heels of a low-speed crash Rashford was involved in back in September. After returning from an away win against Burnley, he was involved in a collision outside the Carrington training ground. While Rashford emerged unscathed, his £700,000 Black Badge Wraith suffered significant damage.
Following the crash, a United spokesperson confirmed that Rashford was unharmed, stating it was an accidental collision involving another car. Bruno Fernandes, Rashford’s teammate, stopped to ensure both drivers were fine and able to leave the scene without issues.
Rashford has had a challenging season, with Manchester United finishing poorly in the Premier League. Although the season ended with an FA Cup victory, Rashford did not make Gareth Southgate’s preliminary EURO 2024 squad. He managed seven goals in 33 Premier League appearances in the 2023/24 season.
