Jose Mourinho is plotting a January transfer swoop for Barcelona’s Ansu Fati, according to reports in Spain.
The Fenerbahce boss is eager to bolster his squad with the 21-year-old winger, who has struggled to secure regular game time at the Camp Nou this season.
Ansu returned to Barcelona this summer following a loan stint at Premier League side Brighton, but has found himself on the periphery of Xavi’s team.
Mourinho believes Fenerbahce can offer the Spain international the regular football he craves, and sporting director Mario Branco is set to hold talks with Ansu’s representatives.
In addition to Ansu, Mourinho is also considering a move for former Manchester United full-back Sergio Reguilon, who has fallen out of favour at Tottenham Hotspur.
Fenerbahce, currently fourth in the Turkish Super Lig, return to action on Sunday with a league clash against Samsunspor.
