West Ham Sack Julen Lopetegui – Seek To Appoint Ex-Chelsea Manager

West Ham have wielded the axe and have fired Julen Lopetegui as their manager. This decision came after a series of disappointing results for the Hammers, with consecutive huge losses to Liverpool (0-5) and Manchester City (4-1), the final straws.

With just 8 months being in charge of the Hammers after replacing Moyes in the summer, Lopetegui only managed six wins in twenty league games, leaving West Ham languishing in 14th place on the league table, a position that fell short of the board’s expectations.

The club is swiftly looking for replacements with former Chelsea manager, Graham Potter being the front runner. Potter who left Chelsea since April, 2023 has been without a job and is already in discussions with West Ham. Potter known for his remarkable stint with Brighton will be a breath of fresh air for West Ham fans, as they hope he’d be able to replicate his tactics and philosophy with the Hammers.
