Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola to get war chest worth £100 million for January transfers

Manchester City is willing to provide manager Pep Guardiola with a substantial transfer budget in January should he choose to strengthen his squad.
The Premier League title that City won last season was an unprecedented four in a row, and it was achieved with just £21 million spent in the summer transfer window to sign winger Savinho from sister club Troyes following an incredible loan spell with Girona. After a year at Barcelona, they signed former captain Ilkay Gundogan back on a free transfer, a move that has been widely hailed as a masterstroke.
It is worth noting that, in contrast to some of their competitors, Manchester City does not currently face a risk of violating the PSR regulations, despite being involved in a legal battle regarding financial malfeasance.
Academy products Oscar Bobb was supposed to play a bigger role, but an unfortunate fractured leg on the eve of the season kept him out of action for about four months. Rico Lewis and James McAtee are anticipated to play a bigger role.
The majority of City’s £160 million in player sales this summer came from the deals of Julian Alvarez, Joao Cancelo, and Taylor Harwood Belis to Southampton, Al Hilal, and Atletico Madrid, respectively. A huge part came from Julian Alvarez’s £81.5 million move to Atletico Madrid. This indicates that the club is in good financial standing.
The team considered bringing in a forward to take Erling Haaland’s place, but ultimately decided to stick with what they had. But if Pep Guardiola wants new players, City will have money to spend in January. The transfer budget of £100 million will be used for reinforcements, even though it is unlikely that City’s two top targets will be available for purchase, the post added.
Due to their perceived ability to enhance an already outstanding squad, Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala of Germany have been strongly linked to City.
Before Christmas, City is eager to move forward with contract extension negotiations with Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri.
