Gareth Southgate remains “absolutely” the right man to lead England, according to captain Harry Kane. Despite recent criticism following England’s disappointing draw with Denmark, Kane praised Southgate’s transformative impact on the team over the past eight years.

“I can’t speak highly enough of Gareth and what he has done for this team and the nation,” said Kane. “The difference between where we were and where we are now as a national team is immense. He ensures every detail is covered and gives us the freedom to be ourselves, both on and off the pitch.”

Southgate’s Record and Determination
Kane acknowledged the difficulties of being England’s manager but stood firm in his belief in Southgate. “There will always be critics, but his record speaks for itself. He’s achieved great success with us and is determined to take the next step and win. We all are.”
Kane urged fans to support Southgate, stating, “He’ll do what’s best for the nation and the team. All I will say is get behind him and support him as the players do.”
Kane’s New Club Connection
Meanwhile, Kane has already been in touch with his new club boss, Vincent Kompany, who took over at Bayern Munich after leaving Burnley. “He phoned me to introduce himself and ask about last season. It was a short conversation, but once I’m back at Bayern, I’m looking forward to getting to know his vision for the team.”
Kane expressed his eagerness to learn from Kompany, saying, “I’m always learning from different managers and I’m sure I will from him as well.”
